Currently I am co-teaching a Year 2/3 class. They are coming along so nicely and I love teaching them.
This week I have had the pleasure of teaching two technology lessons, I normally teach one. We have been looking at bridges and what bridges need to be sturdy. The task was to build a bridge using newspaper and 1m of masking tape. The students found the task a little challenging, I explains that being frustrated was okay. The language and discussions throughout the lesson was outstanding. They were discussing the bridges they were making with confidence and correct terminology. One student said let’s make a truss bridge and the reply was that is a really strong structure but let’s make an arch bridge. It was so lovely to listen to.
